PACE Hosts Film Screening and Talk by Filipino Film Historian Nick Deocampo (2025)

On October 28, 2025, the Philippine Art and Culture Exchange (PACE) hosted a special film screening and mini-conference celebrating the often overlooked histories of queer entertainers in cinema. The event took place at the Elsenhof Community Center and brought together members of the Filipino community, film enthusiasts, and cultural scholars for an evening of conversation and reflection.

The highlight of the program was a talk by award-winning Filipino documentary filmmaker, film historian, and author Nick Deocampo. Drawing from his decades of research and filmmaking, Deocampo discussed how queer performers and creators have shaped Philippine cinema, often working behind the scenes or outside mainstream recognition.
